Open enrollment for ACA plans is November 1 – January 15. Certain qualifying life events may make you eligible for a special enrollment. Our Student Support team is available to answer questions and to see if you may qualify for a subsidy to help cover the cost of the insurance.

Short Term Insurance Policies
Short-Term insurance policies may be an option during periods of transition. Short-term insurance has limitations to coverage and does not cover pre-existing conditions. *

For Illinois residents: Beginning January 1st, 2025, short term insurance plans are banned in Illinois. Comprehensive coverage is available through healthcare.gov. The open enrollment period for healthcare.gov is November 1st through December 15th for a January 1st effective date or December 15th through January 15th for a February 1st effective date. The LAST DAY to enroll in comprehensive coverage through healthcare.gov for 2025 is January 15th, 2025. Certain qualifying life events may allow you to enroll at a later time, but loss of a short-term insurance plan is not considered a qualifying life event.
